AI World Models vs Video Generators

Video generators output a clip. World models aim at a persistent 3D space. A playable game still needs a loop, spawn and input on top.

A video generator is a camera. You prompt a mood and get frames. That is useful for trailers, pitch decks and lighting references. It is a poor source of collision, inventory or a second play session.

A world model tries to hold a space: a splat, a mesh, a height field, a set of instances. HY-World 2.0 and WorldClaw live here. They still stop short of "the player pressed jump and the crate moved."

Playable generation is a third layer. OpenGame sits there: a browser runtime, a prompt, a game you can send to someone. VibeWorlding.org sits between research and that runtime. We help you specify the world. We do not pretend a video model is a level editor.
